Kamy Pakdel

Kamy Pakdel is a graphic designer and a director. Born in Tehran, he left his country at the age of 10. In 2001, he joined the Editions Autrement as an artistic director of the youth sector. Since 2013, he has held the position of Creative Director at Actes Sud Junior (Paris).
A long-time friend of the photographer Abbas Attar, he published in 2002 Iran-Diary 1971-2001, a flagship book on the Iranian revolution with Abbas' photographs; then in 2010, The Fight, with Abbas' photos of the mythical battle between Mohamed Ali and George Foreman.
His film Abbas by Abbas, shot a few days before Abbas’ death and broadcast on French television in 2019, is his first film as a director.
